DC Elite | DC-filter med aktiv støyreduksjon

5/5 – Excellent product when used in the right position

The LHY DC Elite made a clearly audible improvement in my system, although its effect depends strongly on where it is used.

When I first tried it with my Matrix X-SPDIF2, the sound became cleaner and slightly more detailed, but I felt that some tonal weight and body were reduced.

I then moved the DC Elite to my iFi micro iUSB3.0, powered from a 12V linear power supply, and the result was much better. The sound became fuller and darker, with stronger and deeper bass, more body, better weight and a more natural musical flow, while still retaining the additional cleanliness and detail.

In this position, the improvement is substantial and exactly the type of upgrade I was looking for.

One interesting observation is that I preferred my existing DC cable to the supplied LHY Ultimate DC cable, which sounded somewhat thinner in my system. This may of course be system-dependent.

Overall, the DC Elite itself is a very impressive power filter and I am extremely satisfied with its sonic performance when properly matched to the device being powered.
